The Founder
It was Yehoshua Lakners wish, that his oeuvre should be managed by a Foundation, which is responsible for maintaining, documenting and disseminating it.
His widow, Margrit Lakner, has gladly fulfilled his wish and provided for this purpose all the required financial and material resources for the Foundation.
Aim
The foundation is, within its financial abilities, committed to preserve and promote the works by Yehoshua Lakner and to care for and document his musical estate, furthermore to support young musicians and contemporary composers who explore new, unfamiliar paths.
Sponsoring
The foundation promotes preferably
- Young musicians at the beginning of their career from Switzerland, Israel and Slovakia.
- Scholars researching the works and life of Yehoshua Lakner
- Performing Audio-Visual-Time-Structures and the purchase or preparation of equipment
needed for performance. - After the consolidation of Lakner’s musical estate is accomplished the foundation intends
to organise from time to time a competition for young composers (up to the age of 40).
The prize winning work shall be performed together with works by Lakner.
